“If you stutter, you’re not alone.”

The NSA is the largest organization of people who stutter in the world and we are proud to be a resource for people who stutter of all ages and those who support them, offering resources, support groups, events, and educational tools for people who stutter, their families, SLPs, students, educators, and employers.

We have over 150 local chapters across the country, which are the backbone of the NSA, offering support groups for both Adults and Families, providing a supportive community for people who stutter. Our chapters are a place where people who stutter can make connections in their local communities.

The motto of the NSA is “If you stutter, you’re not alone.” and this is what both our local chapters, our annual conference, and everything we do is about. Many people who stutter live their entire lives without meeting another person who stutters and the NSA allows them to make connections and truly feel accepted.

Beyond offering hope and acceptance to those who stutter, we are also committed to public education and advancing research in the field of stuttering to improve the lives of those who stutter for years to come.

The National Stuttering Association is an accredited 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization.
